  1.      The file "CJO01C.zip" has been made available to your 
  2. sysop. This is ComputerJournal Online (CJO), and it's a 
  3. colorful magazine on the world of computers and technology, 
  4. covering everything from how things work to why they don't.
  5.      In one issue of CJO, you may find an article on local-
  6. area networks and a list of things you can get for free; 
  7. next time it could be virtual reality, computer-aided 
  8. design, and two guys arguing over the use (or uselessness) 
  9. of pen computers and "personal digital assistants." Have you 
  10. ever wondered how and why gray-scale monitors are different 
  11. from monochrome monitors? Maybe not, but CJO's going to tell 
  12. you, anyway. Did anything really useful result from the 
  13. billions of bucks the government put into the program that 
  14. let a dozen former test pilots kick up dust, collect rocks, 
  15. plant flags and hit golf balls on the moon? CJO's going to 
  16. open that can of worms.
  17.      Each issue of ComputerJournal Online contains eight to 
  18. ten articles and features on the general subject of 
  19. technology, with emphasis on computers. Do you hate the way 
  20. the average software manual is written? So does one of CJO's 
  21. writers, and he has some interesting suggestions for 
  22. solutions to the problem. Have you ever wondered if there's 
  23. any single medium that cover all the bases for both working 
  24. data storage and backup? Another CJO contributor tackles 
  25. that one.
